Welcome to the Alabama International Fringe Festival!

Alabama’s Platform for Creative Freedom

What is the Fringe?

Watch this short video to give you a better idea of the elements that make up a Fringe Festival.

Traditionally fringe festivals are an explosion of creative energy from local, regional and international artists. Artists and performers take to stages and galleries around town, presenting shows for every taste. Venues can be anywhere, from existing theatres and concert halls to repurposed spaces like bars, parks, porches and gazebos. The Fringe street events bring color, excitement and vibrancy to outdoor areas, free of charge.

From local and international names in the world of entertainment to unknown artists looking to build their careers, the festival spans every genre of live performance, including theatre, comedy, dance, physical theatre, circus, cabaret, children's shows, musicals, opera, music, spoken word, exhibitions and events.

Something for everyone!
